[…] I’m also writing poems about bees at the moment. This is for the second of the series of events at The Hive that I mentioned in my last post. The theme for the evening is Poetry and Pollination ‘to transfer poems from one to another’ and I’m working on a little series of poems about my daughter and bees. I don’t think bees are a subject I would ever have thought to write about but I’m really enjoying it! There is a great line up of local guest poets (including Suz Winspear, Maggie Doyle, Ian Glass, Jenny Hope and Nina Lewis) with headliners Ruth Stacey and Sarah James. It promises to be a wonderful evening. Ticket information can be found on Ruth’s website. […]
